Last night on Grey's Anatomy, Meredith's mom was lucid just long enough to tell Meredith how disappointed in her she is (yeah, Meredith's mom is kind of a bitch). Callie and George got married in Vegas (as the Scrubs opera singer guy would say, "Mistaaaaake!"). The free clinic got its first (and only, so far) customer. Lastly, Cristina agreed to marry Burke (but not to wear the ring). Much as I'm tired of Burktina, their excitement when they realized they were actually engaged may have been somewhat endearing. Oh, and a patient's blood turned out to be toxic and almost killed everyone. Who knew mixing radiation treatment and herbal supplements could make a neurotoxin?
All the rest of the candidates for Chief were so busy being heroic and risking their lives to save the toxic girl that they were too sick in the end to actually be her doctor, leaving McSteamy to steal their glory. This doesn't stop Addison from hooking up with him at the end of the hour ("Mistaaaake!"), although she basically tells him she's picturing someone else (ALEX) while they're doing it. She and Alex, incidentally, were totally having eye contact sex earlier in the episode. It was pretty hot, much as I want to oppose their union.

And yet, no nerdy appreciation from you about the truth behind Callie's name...
I love the Burktina engagement. It's so... them. I didn't want your stupid ring anyway! God!
I'm a bit worried about where Derek/Mere are going after he clearly responded poorly to Mere's mom saying that he was hurting Mere's career. There was one small reference to it causing a problem (go talk to your resident), and it may/may not play out in the next 3 episode arc. Interesting, very interesting.
Hmm...true...I hadn't even thought about the Derek/Meredith issue. There was just so much going on in that episode!
Also, I'm now pretty much always going to picture Cristina as Napoleon Dynamite. Awesome. ("I used a freakin' 2-inch scalpel...whaddya think?!")
I'll take that ring!!
Yeah, for real. That was a pretty impressive rock!
